In 2025, the legendary Ilirija Swimming Pool was replaced by the modern and energy-efficient Ilirija Sports Center, which combines a rich tradition with innovative conditions for training and competitions. The renovated facade of this cultural heritage site preserves the historical character of the building, and above the entrance, visitors are once again greeted by a replica of the famous Kopalka statue, created by students Denis Vučko and Denis Dražetić under the mentorship of Professor Matjaž Počivavšek. The original statue was created in 1942 by France Gorše, but was stolen in 2007. The new multi-purpose swimming and sports center is primarily intended for clubs from Ljubljana and the surrounding area, Slovenian national teams, as well as for hosting domestic and international water sports competitions.
