Skateboarding Rolling

Presentation

The Stožice Urban Sports Center is the only modern public indoor facility dedicated to urban sports (skateboarding, rollerblading, roller skating, scootering, BMX biking) in Slovenia. It is constructed of wood with individual details made of metal, concrete, and granite. It is located under the eastern stands of the Stožice Stadium and thus represents an interesting architectural adaptation of the existing underground parking space. The Urban Sports Center has two separate areas connected by a mezzanine, which serves as the main entrance and social area. The larger space features a street section with street elements, while the smaller space features a flow section with flow elements. In addition to the fixed elements, both sections also feature smaller movable elements, which further enhance the Urban Sports Center and allow it to be adapted to the different needs of users. The Urban Sports Center is intended for both free training and courses and training sessions for various urban sports clubs. Helmets are mandatory for users under the age of 18. Other protective equipment is recommended.
