The Kodeljevo Hall comprises a large and a small sports hall. The large hall is used by secondary schools for physical education, the Faculty of Sport for lectures and exercises, sports clubs for training and competitions, and others for recreational sports. At the same time, the large hall is available for various cultural and entertainment events. The small sports hall is mainly intended for the activities of sports clubs that organize sports dance, taekwondo, and karate training. The hall's stands have 1,370 seats. For decades, the Kodeljevo Hall has been the center of sports in this part of Ljubljana, where many famous Slovenian athletes have trained. Some took their first steps in sports in this hall, while others were only there for a few years. The RD Slovan and KD Slovan clubs are based in the hall. Handball players Uroš Zorman, Andrej Kastelic, and Ognjen Backovič, as well as basketball players Rašo Nesterovič, Jaka Lakovič, Goran and Zoran Dragić, Jaka Blažič, Miha Zupan, and Gašper Vidmar also honed their sporting skills in Kodeljevo. Over the past 10 years, the hall has hosted matches of the Krim Mercator Handball Club in the Champions League, the final of the Spar Cup basketball event, matches of the women's basketball and handball national teams, and international cheerleading and gymnastics competitions. The Kodeljevo Hall has a meeting room dedicated to the memory of Marjan Rožanc, with the names of all Marjan Rožanc Award recipients from 1992 to the present day written on the wall. The Marjan Rožanc Award is the highest award of the City of Ljubljana in the field of sports, which can be received by amateur sports workers, athletes, sports educators, professional sports workers, and sports journalists for outstanding sports achievements in the past year or for successful work over a longer period of time.
